Record Store Day Black Friday 2022 Titles Announced By Craft Recordings

We have been rather active participants in Record Store Day over the past few years delivering coverage from 3 countries and 7 cities. It has become part of our social calendar and expect to see us in November standing outside our favorite record stores once again looking for those 4-5 titles that everyone else seems to want. The prices and scarcity of some titles are still sore topics which we discussed on a recent podcast. Record Store Day Black Friday 2022 is 2 months away and Craft Recordings are already sending out release notices.

The Craft Recordings Record Store Day Black Friday 2022 lineup is definitely more diverse this year and we are excited to see that Kevin Gray who joined us on the eCoustics podcast to discuss the Blue Note Tone Poet reissues that he worked on

These five limited pressings will be available exclusively at independent record stores starting November 25.
 
SILVERSTEIN – Arrivals & Departures —  This 15th anniversary edition of the band’s third album is pressed on Opaque Green Marble vinyl and features newly remixed/remastered audio, plus a green translucent 7” with two bonus tracks from the original CD release.

THE SWORD – Apocryphon — The 10th anniversary edition of the band’s fourth album described by Consequence as “heavy metal distilled to its purest form.” Pressed on 180-gram Cosmic Yellow Swirl vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket.

JAZZ DISPENSARY – Haunted High — Jazz Dispensary is back with a brand-new compilation that explores the depths of outer space and the human mind, featuring Flora Purim, Mongo Santamaría, Barbara Lewis, and more. Pressed on Pink Splatter vinyl.

TOWNES VAN ZANDT – At My Window — This 35th anniversary edition of Van Zandt’s first Sugar Hill Records album finds him at the peak of his songwriting powers. Newly remastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and pressed on Sky Blue vinyl. 

KORLA PANDIT – Genie of the Keys: The Best of Korla Pandit — This first-ever anthology of Pandit’s prolific output on the Fantasy label features an inspired blend of Eastern, Latin, and South Pacific musical traditions, and includes his interpretation of pop songs like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “Speak to Me of Love,” and more. Genie of the Keys features newly remastered audio by the GRAMMY®-winning engineer, Paul Blakemore, pressed on Blue Opaque vinyl.
