I feel we as Bucks County residents are fortunate to have the quality local Police departments that we have, I am in awe on reading how 2 local incidents involving car theft and carjacking in Newtown were resolved with cooperating local police departments so quickly and without serious injury. These policemen are true heroes and deserve all the respect we can give them. I certainly feel safe with these guys out there!!

I just wanted to voice that I understand the need to make a slight increase to property taxes to ensure the township can continue to effectively serve its residents. We pay so little in property taxes (and state income tax!) compared to many in neighboring states and receive very good service and support from our local governments.
Thank you to our local officials for your hard work and for running the municipality very well despite lacking the same level of funding as neighboring NJ towns.
Perhaps to assuage the concerns of those who would feel a significant burden by the increase, the township could try to highlight services, programs, etc., that may be able to help those folks in other ways and compensate for the property tax increase.

Property Tax Budget Meeting tonight! Instead of only almost tripling our Property Taxes to 178% now they only want to slightly double them at 133% all for additional hiring and to replenish general township fund which will be depleted by 2021. Everyone wants more Police Services but tell us why we need them right now and give us facts that support the data and not lectures.. In the mean time we are not adding to the Road Repair fund as our towns streets get worst and worst..
